How to Remove a Kitchen Faucet With One Handle

Before you start, make sure that the water is turned off in your kitchen. Put a bucket underneath the supply tube connections. Then, work your way up and unscrew the faucet's retaining nuts. Then, look for the set screw under the escutcheon ring. Once you find it, turn the handle counterclockwise. This will release the knob, which is easy to unscrew.

Remove the plate

Next, you need to remove the plate from the shaft of the single lever faucet. Using the flathead screwdriver, attack the plate from an angle. Use the head of the screwdriver to get leverage over the plate. Once the plate is loose, you can unscrew the faucet. Then, turn the knob back to the "on" position. Now, you can replace the old handle with the new one.

Remove the kitchen faucet

Now that you know how to remove a kitchen faucet with one spout, you can begin the process of removing the handle. Once you've removed the mounting nuts, you can pull the faucet's body from under the sink. Then, take your channel-type pliers and unscrew the nut. Once you've removed the mounting nuts from the body, you can carefully pull the faucet assembly out from the cabinet. Be prepared to watch it fall if it doesn't stay put.

Carry away the screw

The next step is to remove the screw that secures the faucet to the sink. A single lever faucet has a metal ring at the end of its shaft. The screwdriver head should be inserted in between the wall and the plate to gain leverage. Once the nut is out, you can carefully turn the nut counterclockwise and unscrew it from the stem. This will free up the mounting nut and allow you to remove the faucet.

If you've ever been frustrated trying to remove a faucet sink with a single handle, you know how frustrating it can be. Luckily, you can fix it yourself by following these simple steps. The first step is to unscrew the screw at the base of the faucet. If it's difficult to turn the bolt counterclockwise, you can try a different screwdriver.

Unscrew the screw

The next step is to unscrew the screw that holds the single handle. Most single lever faucets have a screw that turns counterclockwise, and you can remove it with the appropriate tool. After the screw is removed, you'll need to unplug the faucet's cartridge. After you've removed the screw, it's time to remove the faucet. Alternatively, you can call a plumber to do the job for you.
